What We Do

Our Programs

Two core programs rooted in Jared's story — empowering youth and supporting healing through nature and leadership.

Flagship Program

Jared's Fund Youth Fellowship (JFYF)

Each summer, the Youth Fellowship provides funding to Montclair High School students and recent alumni to pursue independent projects focused on mental health. Fellows explore ways to challenge stigma, build community, and drive change.

Fellows are advised by a board that includes Jared's friends and family, medical professionals, and educators — people who understand the stakes personally.

The Fellowship has been running since 2019 and continues to grow, creating a lasting cohort of young mental health advocates in our community.

Additional Initiatives

Farm & Wilderness Campership

Full tuition for New Jersey residents ages 8–17 to attend Farm & Wilderness, a Vermont-based Quaker summer camp. Jared loved this camp, and we're proud to make it accessible to low-income families across New Jersey.

Speaker Series

Community conversations featuring voices from mental health advocacy, medicine, and lived experience — creating space for the open dialogue that Jared's story calls us toward.

Mentor Program

Connecting Youth Fellows with experienced mentors in mental health fields, giving fellows the guidance and network they need to turn their ideas into lasting impact.

Video Project

Stories told through film — personal narratives from the Montclair community that humanize mental illness and demonstrate what it means to live, struggle, and persist.
